Is Citigroup Stock A Buy Stock Ticker C

March 6th, 2009 by shadow

Today I’m looking at Citigroup stock as a gamble, I purchased 150 shares at $1.01 a share and hope to sell it at around $5.00 a share. It seems to me that C will do one of two things, go bankrupt or recover in the next 12-24 months.

If It goes out of business I will be down $157 dollars which I can write of on my taxes, or I will make 2 to 3 times my money back. To me it’s a good gamble.

News————-

Shares of Citigroup “Broke the buck” today trading down below $1/share, the lowest in the history of the company. The stock traded at a high of $57 only 15 months ago and hit a low of 97 cents today.

News————-

My opinion is if all the banks go bankrupt the american economy will be so bad that my money will be useless anyway, I also don’t think Our government will let Citigroup just go away, they are one of the top 3 banks.

I have no charts, no real reason to say invest in citigroup stock other then what I have said above.

March 17, 2009 Citigroup has been doing well for me and I have increased my position to 425 shares.

March 19,2009 I cashed out a amount of stock equal to my original investment. I left all the capital gains in there. (I fear the reverse stock split may cause this stock to end it’s run)

March 22,2009 I have 109 shares of C (Citigroup)

Ok it’s March 10, 2009. Citi is up to $1.43 or 36% gain. I think I should sell and run with the profit but,I’m going to hold and I just bought 75 more shares at $1.41. Lets see were this goes, lets hope for the best.
